What We Are Looking For
This is not simply about finding the fastest driver on one lap. Any level of experience can win if the attitude, commitment and potential are there.
We are looking at the whole application: the intro video, driving footage, achievements, goals, social presence and how the driver could grow inside the team.
For parents wondering whether it is worth applying, the answer is yes. Even if your driver is still developing, the process is designed to make them reflect, present themselves properly and learn what a race team looks for.
We want someone we can help mould into a stronger racing driver: a young person with desire, discipline, respect, coachability and the hunger to succeed.
The scholarship will be transparent throughout. Filming is actively encouraged, and the key decisions and final judging discussions will be covered and filmed wherever appropriate so families can understand how the outcome is reached.
We will extensively review public social media as part of the selection process. How a driver presents themselves online matters because the winner will represent the scholarship, DER and the partners supporting it.
Positive posts about your journey, consistent effort, professional attitude and tagging DER in relevant content will be viewed as a genuine advantage.
For the driving footage link, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram posts are ideal. Please make sure the link is public or viewable by the team.
Social profiles are optional. If the driver does not have one of the accounts listed, just leave it blank.
Stage 2 will be held at Three Sisters Circuit in February 2027 for the top 50 drivers invited through from Stage 1.
The judging panel will be David Edwards, Phil Anders, Jared Fox-Whiteley, Fletcher Jamieson, Harrison Crowther, Jake Anders and Brad Philpot.
Every driver who signs up will be announced across our socials and welcomed into the scholarship. If an applicant is not successful, feedback will be given so there is still value in taking part.
